Learn How To Speak
Spanish Greetings
When you are just starting to learn
Spanish,
greetings will usually be the first lesson being taught. What will you
do if you do not know how to say Hello. Hi and Hello are some
simple greetings. An added advantage is because you do not have to know
too many verbs or word phrases. The known reason is that you can learn
Spanish in its simple form.
The greetings are learnt in simple words. No extra words need to be
researched or included.
As I have said before, when you learn Spanish the first word you need
to learn is Hello. How do you put it in Spanish? We may greet the
person and say
"Hola".
Hola is used very frequently. You use that to
greet people that you meet. If you are trying to say hello on
the phone, you can say "bueno" or "diga. "
If you want to say "goodbye" in Spanish, you can
say, Adiós.
What do you say when you want to greet a person
"How are you"? You may greet him by
saying ¿Cómo estás? To greet
a person, Good
afternoon. You can greet him also by saying, Buenas
tardes. If you want to
say, "Good morning" or "Good day," you can
say, Buenos
días. Good night - in Spanish is buenos noches, and
when you want to ask
what someone's name is, you can
ask, ¿Cómo te
llamas?
Once you can remember all these simple greetings,
it will be easy for you to learn Spanish.
You will find some more difficult terms later on as you
proceed. Other basics
that you can start learning are numbers, the alphabet, telling time,
asking for directions, gender, color, parts of the body, and your
family.
Learning these types of everyday phrases will help
you learn Spanish faster because you will able to practice these
words daily. People say hello and good night everyday so you
will
feel at ease using your Spanish often.
As you progress, you will be able to form more
complex
greetings phrases, like, Hello, how are you today? or Hi, the
weather is fine today, isn't it?
You can start to ask more advanced questions
like How's the going? To translate that in Spanish,
you can
say ¿Qué pasa? If you want to
say, What's New?
you can say, ¿Qué hay? If you want to
say nice
meeting you you can say Mucho gusto.
The above are some examples of the intermediate
and more
advanced greetings that are easy to pick up. They are some
little
steps for you to learn Spanish
while getting to know different people.
In Spain, it is very common for people to
kiss each other on both sides of the cheeks when they meet. However,
men do usually shake their hands. Even though people kiss each
other on their cheeks often when they
meet, they do not do it all the time. A good example in the
context of
a business meeting, you will not see people kissing each other on
their cheeks.
If you are in America, you may
not want to try kissing everyone when you learn Spanish, even if it's
another Spanish friend. Many people from different cultures have got
used to the American culture, and Americans usually do not kiss when
they first meet. However, when you visit Spain, you may want to try it.
It will be as much fun as you learn Spanish.
